I feel your pain man. Mine were stolen 2 nights ago. Who ever did it was dumb enough to leave perfect finger prints on the hood. The police told me that they shouldn't have any trouble finding them.

Will the go through that much trouble for HIDs? I would really like to see the people caught. The HID theft ruins the owernership experiance of this car for me. I'm too nervous to park it anywhere out of eye site....and I live in a good area.

screw that..I say for HID theft or any bullsh!t theft of a car, or a car's parts that once the perp is caught, the police leave the perp alone with the owner of the damaged/stolen property in a closed room for 30min.

I would love to get my point across to the perp as to why HIDs should not be stolen...

So other states are starting to get hit now too...that's not good, pretty soon it's going to be nationwide.

I wonder what Nissan North America will say than, since they had stated before that it was an environmental issue since it was only in NJ/NY.

When I got my 03, my dealer said Nissan was letting people out of their leases early for no charge because of this insane HID theft. If it happens to me, I will be contacting Nissan to terminate my lease. Then I will get in the seat of an 04. I should have just went with the 04, but my 2003 is sooooo nice.

Maxz71 is in Florida, so Florida, Texas, NY and NJ.

It quickly went from 2 neighboring states to all over.

I'm relocating to Plano, TX. I haven't had to worry about this in Maryland.

It's 600 miles from Plano to El Paso. You'll be safe for a little while longer. If you have to drive into Dallas just try to get there early, before the gangs wake up.
