Help: Cannot find radiator drain plug!
Help: Cannot find radiator drain plug!
Hi, everyone,
I was trying to change the coolant on my 2001 Maxima (local dealer charges $99 for this service), but I could not see the drain plug on the radiator.
Can some one tell me where it is? The owner's manual is not very clear.
Thanks,
jzwu

Hey I just ran outside to verify on my 2k1 and it shouldn't be hard to find at all.
1. i think's it's made out of plastic and it has a phillips head.
2. if you look under the left side(front) of the car there are 2 plastic covers (one small cover front and one bigger one in the rear)
3. Now these two covers the front has a hole and so does the big one behind it, the big one is the one for the drain plug!
Hope that helps!
Robert

Thank you very much! I finally found it. Since the plug is hidden in the hole I cannot see it. But when I stick my finger in the hole. Woww, it is there.
Thanks again! This saves me an instant $80. :-)
