Somebody e-mailed me once about adding heated seats to a car that did not come with heated seats. I had asked if this was possible to a car which had leather, power seats. I got conflicting responses.

Well, I looked within the seat cushions and could not make out whether or not the seats had heating elements or not, without fully disassembling the seats, which I really, really did not want to do. However, while installing my AE automatic shift **** on my 2000, I found two empty plugs tied off in the center console area. The ESM indicates these plugs are related to heated seats, but I am not the best at reading schematics. I have ordered a heated seat switch and am going to plug them up and see if there is any luck.

 

Definitely let us know. I doubt the heating elements are in the seat, but it definitely would be nice. If not, let me know. I have a couple of links for companies that manufacture heated seat kits to add to the car. Only catch is they only sell to authorized installers. I was thinking having my front and rear seats done.
