Not really, everyone has complained about this. There was a recall out for a new suspension component and as a side effect it made the car feel a little more tight(in the steering wheel, over bumps, sortof a rattle). I drive daily with my JIC's on 12 all the way around and my car darts everywhere, I really wish I could turn down the powersteering a little. Seems too sensitive, but as far as i know there are not any quick(cheap) fixes for this.

I just got a 2000 SE myself-- You are right the steering is a bit loose. Most will tell you to get urethane suspension bushings.
Typically most cars like ours our plastic/rubber. If your car is
new I cant imagine it would make a hugh difference but on a car with 30k plus miles it think it should make a big difference.
The best part is that they cost appx $10. My nephew replaced his @ 70k and..ohh man.
courtesy Nissan Texas sells them..

hmmm, fstb might help tighten the steering a little bit w/out much in cost.
However, it's do-able to tighten the steering if you have the cash to spent. FYI, after installing the SFC's, my car steering felt 50% tighter.
