Just installed new MAF- SES light goes on?! Help!

Should I disconnect the battery? Or should it go away after numerous starts?

For those of you who have changed your own MAF- need your input- Thanx!

disconect your battary for like 20 min, then turn your car on, if the light shuts off, let the engine idle for like 5 min, then your all set. Your engine will be in learn mode for like 20 miles or something, so it might feel a bit different.

Even though your original MAF still worked, TSB (NTB03-023) will replace it with 22680-AM600 and reflash ECM for free. Can't beat that deal.

My frankencar intake came loose from the and the engine died. I tried the disconnect battery thing, but it stayed on. Then it went off yesterday. Now all is good.

I diconnected my battery for like 2.5 hrs, I have yet to drive over 20 miles- I'm sure it'll go away- keep ya posted- thanx

P.S> The screen in the old MAF was covered in dirt -cleaned it-
at least I'll have some sort of backup if the new one ever went
