ABS Light...any reason for concern?
ABS Light...any reason for concern?
The other day I started up my 2001 SE and the ABS light went on. I drove on and then decided to pull over. I shut down the car, waited about 10 seconds and started it up again. No ABS light this time. Its still under warranty, should I be concerned? Thanks in advance.

Take it in immediatley, my ABS light came on and I ignored it for a week and lost my brakes. My rear drivers side ABS sensor went bad and it caused the whole brake system to fail, there is no backup.

All ABS systems I know about are REQUIRED to not disable anything in the event of a malfunction. You just don't have skid control, but everything else performs fine.
Only difference would be the ABS light flashing and no ABS to prevent skid.
