my wife just got me v1 and i want to hard wire it to my 2k2 and planning to tap it on my auto dim mirror. there are 2 wires that i saw and just wondering which one of the wires would i use .. i saw this this thread 2 wks ago and i tried search and went back 20 pages and i can;t find the thread

 

if your'e willing to wait till tonite, i'll tell you exactly which 2 wires i used and it works perfectly.

is there any way to do it so its hardwired and it sits above the clock? I like where I have mine. I guess i could just install the hardwire kit and leave the existing wire where it is.

 

I don't know if it's a good idea to make a $400 radar detector so visible in plain sight. I wouldn't want some ahole breaking into my car just to steal my V1...

 

I hide it when I get out of the car. If I mount it too high, its out of my line of sight, too low and the performance is compromised.

 

Thats the way I did mine... Just run the wire in front of the dash and stuff in down in...

 

I think thats what I'm gonna do. Install the Hardwire kit, then run the wire in the gap in the dash between the w/s and the plastic.
