Will I throw codes if I do this?
It will not throw a code on a 2K2 or 2K3. Not 100% sure about your 2000. If there is no sensor after the cat, there will be no code. Because it replaces the cat, it is not 'legal' for street use, but many peeps have installed them.

With that sensor, you'll prolly throw a code if you install the straight pipe. I'm not familiar with hi flow cats, so I can't say how reliable they are. I would think someone makes a reliable one, though.
