I was wondering if I would throw codes if I replaced my cat with the Racing straight pipe. I can use this on the street right.

It will not throw a code on a 2K2 or 2K3. Not 100% sure about your 2000. If there is no sensor after the cat, there will be no code. Because it replaces the cat, it is not 'legal' for street use, but many peeps have installed them.

I second the above, however I'm just wondering why you're doing it? It just pollutes more and gives you a 2whp difference at most?

When I asked earlier about only wanting to make 15 more HP I asked about the RT High flow cat and somebody said it breaks up fast and that a straight pipe would yield better results. And I have a O2 sensor after the Cat.

.

With that sensor, you'll prolly throw a code if you install the straight pipe. I'm not familiar with hi flow cats, so I can't say how reliable they are. I would think someone makes a reliable one, though.
