Do you mean the trim around the door locks and window controls or the actual door panel?

The trim around the locks window switches. I want to remove the wood trim (GLE) for a dull grey trim similar to what I have in my SE.

Check out the Body and Trim file from this website:

I removed the driver side door panel to see what was creaking in my door. When I removed the window switches, it looked as if the switches could be unscrewed then separated from the trim. Hope this helps.

The switches can be unclipped from the door pannel and removed very easily. but I don't have woodgrain so I'm not sure if you even need to remove the switches. If the wood is like aftermarket trim you wouldn't need to, but if you need to remove the whole piece from the door pannel you will.

Can I remove the OEM woodgrain trim without removing the door panel?

Yes you can. You first have to remove the pull handle screw, the pull handle, then the power window switch finisher/trim.

Are you talking about the window switches or the door handle? I need to remove the window switch trim.
