daveb comes thru again
just ordered my fuel filter and o-ring from him. total inc shipping to LA was 22 + change. my local dealer wanted 24 for the filter and 8 for the o-ring! then there's sales tax on top of that. i saved like $10 thru dave. i wasn't expecting to save that much considering these are low priced items, but dayaaam. thanks again dave.

He came through for me as well. I was installing a remote gain control for my car and the best place for it is the coin holder by the emergency brake. I called up courtesy asking for a blank(the plastic piece that pops in the hole) and they had no clue what I was talking about. I called DaveB and he told me the part number, said he had one in stock and also checked to see if one was closer to me. He is a great guy.

Anybody know what the recommeded service interval for the fuel filter is in the Owners' Manual?
I'm willing to be it's 60K-90K, so IF I still have the original stocker at 90K+ like serin, I'd replace the pump/filter/o-ring/etc.. all at once.

It says to change it at 100K miles I tried to call the dealer just to see if I can order it and they said nope, it only comes with the pump which is obviously bullsh!t since daveb can hook us up. Same with the HID wiring harness, they said it would cost like 700+ for it they were trying to sell the entire wiring set along with the harness when Dave once again hooked it up for like what $80 shipped!

They say the same thing with the spark plugs, it will go 100K once again it WILL go 100K, both the filter and the plugs BUT the thing is it wont be operating at 100% efficiency at that mileage, just working. It would be a good idea to change the plugs (I just did, and they didnt look to pretty) and the filter around the 30-40K mark just to keep it working 100% efficient. It will play a role in increasing your mileage since you pump doesnt have to force fuel through a slightly restricted filter. Same with performance, it wont be a huge increase but something the driver would feel.
