PICS: 2K2 Shift Boot vs. TEP Shift Boot

I just ordered the 2K2 shift boot from DAVEB and he was nice enough to take some photos of both the 2K2 shift boot, which most of you have seen, and the TEP shift boot for comparison so I could decide between them. I figured there might be somebody else interested in making use of Ice's shift boot swap and these photos might be helpful to somebody.

The 2K2 boot is available from DAVEB for $78, however the TEP piece is $120, so I was really curious to see the differences. As you will see from the photographs, not much. DAVEB told me he sees no color differences between the surrounding "silver" piece on both boots. he mentioned that the leather appeared to be a little nicer on the TEP piece and is stiched in matching titanium thread.

THANKS DAVEB!!!

The black stitching looks better...

that light stitch pattern somehow reminds me of certain pants and jackets from the 1970's or so....

Yeah, that's the way I went too. Both, however, look better than the piece of vinyl crap they put in our 5-speeds. The surrounding silver ring and the, maybe, real leather in the boot makes for a much better package.
