What color calipers??

I have the light blue, turgquoise colored maxima. I believe it is called tungsten blue. I was thinking about painting my calipers. What color to go with a red color for contrast, a blue color or silver? I wish I could paint the calipers body color but the color does not come in heat resistant paint. Any opinions or ideas are welcomed.

Black is always a safe bet and clean looking too. Get a caliper painting kit, lasts longer and looks a ton better than the ghetto spray paint way....

I just did mine with the G2 brake caliper painting kit from www.wheelskin.com. I have a merlot colored max and I chose to paint the calipers silver. The silver is just a little darker than the stock 02-03 17in. stock wheels. Do not use cheap crappy spray. Use the G2 kit. It has built in clear coat. I will try to put up pics on my home page tonight or tomorrow morning.

it isn't a 'built-in clearcoat'... you use a reactant with the paint, since the paint is an enamel paint (like the kind used on aircraft)... the paint dries and the enamel hardens, giving the paint a long lasting life and finish (unless you chip the caliper, like the dealer did to mine

Thanks for clarifying, I was just trying to imply that it's a one step process, and that the paint has a clear coated finish when it hardens.

I think red looks nice... matching the red rear sidemarkers and red taillight housing. But if you got clears then i dunno... I'm going with red whenever i get around to it. I have the same color max as you i think. I looked up the color code from the little plaque in the engine bay and it's called Satin Blue Pearl. I think there are 2 different shades of light blue though.

I did mine with a black gloss engine paint and they look great. $10 and about 1.5 hours of your time. Make sure you clean the calipers REAL good before painting and put on 3-4 coats. There brake calipers, spend the money on something else people will notice more..

seeing as you have alight color Id go with the black or silver. Those are the safest bets. Had you been rolling in a darker color car you couldve choosed one of the "flashier colors" ie red, lb;ue, something to contrast with.
