Well damn... after reading all that... I forgot that this was a lowering thread in the 5th gen forum. For just a moment I thought that I was in the off-topic forum.

Anyway... pictures of my drop are available on my website. Click on

<--- Homepage

and follow the link at the bottom of the page to see the before and after photos.

I'm on KYB GR2 struts and TEIN springs.

And as far as what spring to use on the stock strut... you really shouldn't. But if you are, the TEINs are too much of a drop to use stock shocks on. Find a spring with no more than about 1.3 or 1.4 inch drop in the front. Also, be prepared to replace the shocks about 6 months after you use them, as history tells us that they will eventually break due to bottoming out (either with a speedbump or pothole).

Good luck in your quest.

GET BACK ON TOPIC! I don't want to see this thread closed!!

It was 1 page last night, and then suddenly I woke up this morning and BAM, it's 4 pages....come on people...

I'll ask my question again: Which springs give a subtle drop and work reasonably well with the stock struts?

You have 2 real options for that request. Maxspeeds and H&Rs. Maxspeeds are half the price so I chose them. They will work on stock struts for a while, but I recommend relpacing them at some point.

It's either H&R or Maxspeed springs with OEM stock struts. But a word of advice,I suggest replacing the OEM struts anyway when installing springs just so you don't have to do the job twice.
