what do you mean by original ?
why do you need to replace it ?
Jim Wolf, I here, is working on a replacement ecu for the 02-03 maximas
Would run ~550 dollars with coreswap but it has yet to be released
his would increase HP, TQ and MPG if what i've read is correct

Complaint : Miss leading AD, this is only a resistor not a chip, excessive shipping charge
Complaint : This was not a chipbut a 10cent resister. Ipaid 3.95 S&H for a stamped envelo pe
Complaint : thought would be a chip but really was just a resistor i could have bought .10
Complaint : Its not what the name says it actually made my car more slugish
If you put picture into a viewer and zoom in you can see IT IS just a resistor. 10 cents at radio shack

There is some real hope but it's at best a $400 investment with no guarantees. There is a 16 bit rom chip, that holds the code. I'm still pondering if this is worth it. At best I see 10-15 HP for NA applications, for boosted unknown.
Better men than me have given this a shot and failed. It won't cost $31 dollars.
