Meridian Package question....
I plan on buying a 2000 maxima GLE. I noticed it had the heated seats, does that mean it has the Meridian package, which also comes with the side airbags and heated mirrors? Or are the heated seats one feature by itself? The dealer will sell it for $18,000 with 27,000 miles, is that a good deal?

I know that I dont know but searching online I found tone of hits for heated seats and few for the meridian package of that year
lots of meridian hits for 2002 and 03 though
nothing I find with heated seats talks about meridian package but all meridian package hits talk about the heated leather seats >?<

too high, i think $15-$16K's would be more like it.

Thanks for the replys. I drove two 00' GLE's both with 27,000 miles, just had different exterior colors. One of them had better acceleration. The dealer said they both r the same. I assume they just happen to maintain one better? Im gonna go for the one with the better accleration.

Traction control was not part of the meridian package in 2000 model year. According to the brochure and product guide, if the car has heated seats it will have side airbags, low windshield fluid warning light, heated outside mirrors, and a trunk lid lining. The package was called "deluxe seating". The term meridian was not used in the brochure or product guide for that model year. The only other separate options available for the 00 GLE from the factory were traction control and moonroof. A fully loaded GLE had a lower MSRP than a fully loaded SE due to SE extras such as 17 inch craptenza tires, sports suspension and cool titanium gauges.

I got a 2002 SE with 22K miles
I have a moonroof, bose, Leather, traction Control and Meridian package(heated mirrors, heated seats, heated steeringwheel is that it?).
I paid 19K about a month or 2 ago.
18 sounds high.
As far as I know Traction Control is not part of any package. You may have to have meridan to get it... but I dunno. Nissan has those funny caviats, you have to have bose to get leather, you have to have leather and bose to get traction control... etc etc...

read "y sleep's" response... it is correct, although it was not called "meridian" in 200 model year. I have a GLE with everything except traction control. If you have heated seats, you will have heated mirrors / side air bags, etc... TC was still an option completely on it's own.

Finding a new 03 was hard.. anytime now is nearly impossible. I was looking in june and could not get one. Also, your comparing apples to oranges. The 03 Automatic for 21-22 is going to be a stripped SE
He's looking at GLEs with Meridian packages, New that is going to list for 3K more.
18K is still too high for a 2000, If you like the 00 try and get the price down a few K or start looking at 02s and figure another 1-2K for the same equiptment

Funny stuff... I have the *exact* same sticker, same options, almost same price.. Mine does not say "Meridian Edition." But like I said I bought the first one in KC in 99.

I believe the build date is the key to this issue. There are several things about out late 2k that are like a 2k1. This is common with all manufacturers.
