Best brake pads?????

I realize this is a very general, but I can't really find any threads that specifically pertain to this.

When I say best I am referring to the following qualitites:

- Quiet
- Good stoping power
- good wear
- minimal break dust

To sum it up I am looking for a good all around replacment pad for my stock system. Just want the best for my max.

As others have mentioned, Raybestos QuietStop (at least) might squeal a lot with stock rotors...

You have raybestos? If so, for how long?

Mine don't squeal, but I'm not using Raybestos with stock rotors--I just switched my old (severely ****ed) brakes to Raybestos QS pads & Raybestos rotors last night.

Squealing was mentioned in this thread: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=239333

I just put Hawk's mid-level Performance pads up front & they made a HUGE difference. No overheating, no squeeling, great stopping power. Material: Hawk Performance HPS Ferro-Carbon compound. $69 shipped from Tirerack.com
