NiCe - Installed new Hawk brake pads
NiCe - Installed new Hawk brake pads
Put my front Hawk front pads on a few days ago. Was a 45min job at home. They are sweet... don't overheat like the old ones! I have 28.800 on my Max. I paid $69 with next day delivery from www.tirerack.com
I wish they had performance rear pads... but the guy told me they have OEM replacements only. Performance rear pads & some SS lines would have been sweet. Maybe soon...
FYI: I got the mid-level performance Hawk pads. Not the RACE-only pads. The RACE-only pads aren't really for everyday driving, according to the TireRack guy.

The new pads have completely eliminated this. It's a good thing I caught it before the rotors got shot.
I can almost "feel" the rear pads acting up a bit... I think they need to be changed also.
OEM pads = crap
OEM rotors = crap

Damn, you changed your brakes at 28k? My '00 max has over 44k and it's still on the OEM pads/rotors.

I brake very... very calmly. The stock 2k2 pads & rotors seem crappy 2me. I never had any problems with 50,000 on my 98 Hyundai. And I actually drive more civilized now... well at least with the braking part.
