Sound deadening the trunk (help)
I am going to order some Second Skin sound deadener for my trunk within the next few days and I have some questions having to do with the install:
How easily do the round "thumb-clips" come off that attach the trunk lid matting to the trunk lid? Can I just tug hard and they will pop out or..? Also, what technique should I use for getting the carpeting out of the trunk itself?
Also, the following things that rattle are hard to get rid of, at least it seems to me.. so any advice?:
1. The emergency trunk safety release (you know the one, in case I ever kidnap someone or some ish)
2. The actual inside of the trunk lid behind the license plate. It seems like that is the worse rattling thing in the whole trunk. Any way to get to it?
3. Not a rattling area, but rather a question about tightening the trunk lid so it sits tighter: is this possible?
Thanks.

About those thumb clips, DO NOT tug hard or they will break. Look for a notch and pry that off slowly from both sides with a flat-head screwdriver. It should be almost effortless to take them out.
