The only thing you need to know is if the inlet is offset or centered. If the inlet is offset, it will fit the car. If the inlet is centered, it will not fit the car.

Note that MagnaFlow mufflers drone in the 2000-2500 RPM range, which is also your highway cruising RPM range. If you are planning on running this with a Y pipe, I would seriously consider making another brand selection. I had my MagnaFlow install before my Y/B/Cat upgrade. Once the upgrade was complete, I could not stand the highway droning, as it overpowered my stereo system.

I'm now running on a FlowMaster 60 Series, which is much much better when your exhaust is fully modified.

But if you are just planning on replacing the muffler and leaving the rest of the exhaust system stock, the MagnaFlow has one of the nicest sounds to it. The Powertech is very very similar to the MagnaFlow as well, just not as deep as the MagnaFlow.

First turn you caps off, then Check my sig for soundclips of the magnaflow and several others. Studman, the magnaflow on my car only drones from about 1500 to about 1900 on very light throttle acceleration. It does get very deep but thats only when it drone at low speeds. On the highway if you dont get on it you dont really hear it at all.

HitManSE: That's cool to know that your droning isn't as bad. On the VQ35DE engines, the exhaust flow out of the engine is higher (and/or more pressurized... still pending testing), which is part of the causings of the droning to be more noticable. The other thing I've noticed is the cruising RPMs between the VQ30DE and the VQ35DE are slightly different, which may account for your 1500-1900 range versus our 2000-2500 range.

You got a very good point, I didnt consider the volume of exhaust that the VQ35 flows compared to the VQ30. Also mine is an auto so I have considerably longer gears then your 6spd which is close-ratio so that would explain why the cruising range is more in the 2000-2500 area. I dont know if its the same for the 3.5 autos but

Btw-did you get a chance to get any other soundclips of your flowmaster? The 1st clip you made was sweet, you could hear the exhaust for like the 1st second or two but after that all there was is wheelspin, then the intake then back to the tires screaming as they tried to hold the ground which Im guessin occured once you reached 4000rpms then the tires chirping again ect...

The was somewhat funny, but didnt really focus around the muffler too much

Alrighty then here we go...

This is the type of muffler you want to get these pics are just examples, you dont have to get this brand.

This is the Offset/Center, the offest means the exhaust pipe inlet is off to the side (offset) then flows out the center. Heres a pic:

Here is one that is Offset/Offset this might fit but fitment will be some what off. If you look closey, the inlet and outlet or off to the sides. Here is another pic:

Here is one that is Center/Center:

The one on my car is actually a center inlet, but its alot smaller then the stock muffler that it fits just fine. Pic:

Hope that helps you out...any more questions that I can answer?

HitManSE: I tried to get more sound clips, but even with the windows down, the intake is louder than the exhaust. As for the tire screeching, I'll see if I can launch in 2nd gear instead of first. I completely spin all of first gear during a launch and end up red-lining the engine while still spinning. So I'll see if I can't get a launch in 2nd gear and post it. And for the tink tink tink sound, I'm getting that part fixed when the tips finally arrive.
