NE Maxima brothers, hang in there!

I hope all of our NE maxima brothers and sisters are doing alright. I know many of them probably are not able to get on the forums right now or for a few days maybe, but we are thinking of you guys and I hope your cars are safe and secure. Take care and let us know whats going on.

I think NE is ok for the most part. Worcester's been all good so far and none of my buddies from the Boston area mentioned any loss of power.

All is ok here in New Jersey, I am in Ocean County and well we were lucky. Just lost power for a few minutes and then it came back on. Anyways, I have been home for the last 3 Days with shoulder surgury. So I am stuck in a sling with a fitted Dressing that's attached to a cooler which pumps ice cold water around my shoulder and also a pain pump. The pain pump, kinda cool, a tube inserted into my shoulder which delivers a nice steady flow of pain medication to keep me from feeling anything. Oh my, I just went on and on about my shoulder. Anyways, I really want to make the Maxima Meet at Rutgers this Sunday as I have nevr been to one. Well I will try my best to get there!!!! Hope to meet some cool people and make some great friends!!!!! See ya all Sunday!!!!!!!

this power outage was the best possible thing that could have happened to Maxine She got a 1 1/2 hour bath followed by a coat of wax a rim wax and full interior detail. All in all I spent like 6 hour on her then I manually opened the garage and parked her for the night!

side note: You should see the looks you get when vacuming and lighting up your work area off a 7hp generator! lol

There were few good things that came out of yesterday's power outage. One of them was that most state troopers were called to duties other than highway patrol. As a result, certain highways (which shall remain nameless) were almost like autobahns. Today we were back to normal.

I went to work yesterday @ 9:00 am and came home today @ 5:00pm. I worked into last night moving servers to different datacenters and circuits on our generator grid. Had to make sure more than 400 unix servers came back online last nite.

A friend that drove in last nite was bragging how he had to highway to himself, to rip. Got about 4 hours sleep. All in all, it was fun!

The company is still running on generator power. Ever wondered what it's like to wander around in the dark without flashlight back and forth between 5 floors? Hell, ever wonder how hot it gets without AC climbing 27 flights of stairs?

much love to the org, glad it wasn't a revisit of those A-holes

I live on LI too... I didn't get power back until 3 this afternoon.

That was weird, I was sitting in the car stereo shop, and all of a sudden the power just flickers, and i start hearing alarms and ****... I could've sworn for a mommment (or a few momments) something bad was about to happen.

That was insane.

Yeah, I meant North East. I'm glad everything is ok. I hope they fix the problems so they don't happen again.

Man I'm glad I don't worry in the city anymore... My friends over at my old work got layed up in the tower all night. They had no food, but power... Gotta love generators. Powered a 50 story building for almost 2 days!
