Angel Eyes are installed finally!!!!! Pics inside.

Well I've had my angel eye kit in my trunk for the past 2 months and finally yesterday I had them installed. So my big dilemma was to decide on who would be the one to install them and I would trust. So I get on the phone with Matt from Um-nitza and speak to him and ask him where should I get the kit installed by my area of New York City. Matt is very honest and tells me, I don't trust anyone in New York but I would recommend taking a drive to Maryland and having this person John install it who has done many BMW's but this would be his first Maxima ever. So I speak to John and we set-up the time and date which was yesterday. Man am I so happy that I took the three hour drive, John did an awesome job especially for it being his first time on a Maxima. Here is a picture of the final product

They look good. But I've been wondering about one thing. Why does the outer cable install inside the lamp housing and the inner one install outside of the lamp housing? Wouldn't it look better if the cables installed either both in or both outside of their repective housings? I haven't seen these in person so I may be way off base here.

Well I went with JTMAX03 to have these installed and thats the only way they look good, they do stick out on the high beam circle but it looks really good in person and I guess due to the size of the ring thats the only way they can be installed correctly and never fall out.

The angel eyes are wired with the parking lights so they are on in the Auto, parking and headlight position. Yes worth the three hour drive.

Its not that hard, it was just better to leave it to someone who knew. $390.00 is not that bad.

I suppose Im retarded, but when I checked the Umnitza site they only listed BMW (and a few lexus) model types. Does our 5th gen max use the same kit? BTW JTMax, it looks sweet. Im hoping to be following suit.

Hey guys
We have installers in most parts of the country. Guys that are very capable, although John is definitely one of the best out there.

So, we have a couple of new developments to report:

1) Why aren't the rings on the site? Well, unfortunately, time delays being what they are, we've been slow to update. We have updated it now. So, you can just go to the www.umnitza.com and select DDE.

2) Pricey = Pricy = not ricey In reality, paying $390 for this proves that you want premium products on your car. But more importantly, going to the correct installer will ensure the correct work is performed. What price good service?

3) I don't see the point of spending $5000 on a diamond ring for my wife, she won't wear it except on special occassions, but hey, she likes it

4) :rant on: Maxman2000, with all due respect please con't compare yours to the DDE Gen V. There has been a rash of knockoff products ever since Hella came out with theirs on the E39 5-series. Yours are made by DEPO, and are a poor example of what a quality healdight should look like. Looking closely at those, you'll see wavy glass, wavy reflector material, rattling in the headlight on most of them, and poor wiring. I'm sorry, we're on a personal rant against those crappy headlights becasue a) we retail the OEM replacement ZKW b) we find that customers appreciate value c) we don't want to support knock off artists. :rant off:

5)Look at the map below, we have installers in all parts of the country.
