strut and sway

i was planning to put on a strut bar and sway bars. i was wondering if the strut bar has to be tightened in a special way. i heard if you make it too tight it might break, and im sure that if its too loose its pretty much useless. is there a way to know if its tight enough?

Get a torque wrench and tighten as per the specs of your FSTB.

The factory service manual says to tighten the three strut tower bolts (on each side) to 32-38 ft-lbs. Don't overtighten as they may snap. The two strut bar bolts should be tightened snug and that should be enough. My Stillen strut bar has Nylock washers which are great because they don't loosen up.
