Never had a problem yet but I suppose it would give a bored cop something to do.

Yep, i got 2 tickets for it, one for front one for rear. 28-931A for front 28-931B for rear. They were just fix-it tickets though, so i swapped out the clear lenses with my stock ones and took pics and took them to court, ticket dropped.

Using hyperwhites is illegal as hell. You can use clear lenses and colored bulbs (which is in a gray area of the law), and I never get second looks from police...

Well if you haven't got pull over yet consider yourself lucky, and yes it's illegal to have hyper white in side marker in Houston, don't know if it was illegal else where.Like Quicksilver said, using clear lenses and colored bulbs (which is in a gray area of the law), and I never get second looks from police.

i have clears and hypers and no tickets yet, but i get nervous at night when i am next to a cop driving. the thing that bugs me is that when you look around at other cars they dont even have side markers, so what does it matter if they are clear and hyperwhite lights. i can understand why it is for the blinkers though.
