Hey All,
Im new here to the Maxima.Org site. I have been reading posts for quite some time, but I am gettin close to getting one in a few months. I hear all this talk about the 3.5L going into the 2002 models. I dont know about everyone else, but I really don't see this happening. I can possibly see 227hp and the limited slip becoming standard equipment but not the new engine yet. I wanted to get into a used 4th Gen back in 99, but I couldnt afford it so I got a used Contour SE which was the next best thing. Now that I got a good job and I can afford one I wanna get one, but I dont wanna make a mistake and get a 222hp version if the 260-275 is definatly coming out next year. Can someone give me some advise?

The rumors seem pretty damned solid at this point. I'd hold out... save more up for a down payment. If the rumors turn out to be wrong... you'll have more money to put down on a 2001 and can hopefully get a great deal on it too!

 

I'd hold out. The Altima is probably worth a look too. I know....it seems like a step down from the Max, but it's going to have 240 HP!! They HAVE to do something with the Max.
