CONFIRMED: '99 PR Motor Mounts fit in '02-'03!

This weekend I attempted to install a set of PR motor mounts purchased form Cattman, and as previously mentioned, they bolt right up with no modifications. Brian @ Cattman has been notified, and I suspect he'll be updating his site. Just make sure you order the right ones (Manual vs Automatic). BTW - my rear motor mount was destroyed!!!

I've tried time and time again to reproduce the wheel hop, and it's gone! The only downside I've seen so far is that at startup, the whole car shakes briefly, and when the engine is cold, there's significant vibration, but that goes away quite quickly. After driving it for 4 days, I've adapted to the mounts and can't even tell the vibration exists (except @ startup).

Enjoy!

good to hear man! my rear motor mount was ripped to shreds. i almost ordered the PR mounts considering i knew they would fit but couldnt since they r a lil pricey for just the front and rear. good to know they work well.

I'm car illiterate... what exactly does a motor mount do? I can guess it has something to do with mounting the motor to the car/frame/whatever, but how do these motor mounts get rid of wheel hop? I don't know enough to see how they're related.

thanks,

Did I not mention this like over 6months ago? I guess people dont read......

I mentioned that the 95-99 MT mounts basically fit ANY car from 95-2003 gauranteed. I mentioned this to Brian 6months ago as well for him to change his website.

the motor mounts are a rubber material that cushion the motors vibration, over time these tend to wear out and need to be replaced. The original ones aren't made of a quality product like the aftermarket ones. The new ones will keep the engine more stable at the mounts which help with any wheel hop. If you have shot mounts the vibration from the engine transfers to the wheels under heavy throttle. Hope this answers your question.
