"Im guess you will never need anyones help!"

lol

this is just because you make it sound that the only people that have it are those that will abuse it

O.K. its a good thing but...
1. "Just another reason for the insurance companies to milk and rape the public and make even more money"
2. "helping the 'unfortunate'? Yeah, REAL unfortunate to get a 'turbo kit' and cover your a$$ with gap insurance."
3. "GAP insurance was not designed for 'refinancing' and adding a 'turbo kit'. It was designed for those who end up "upsidedown" on a loan and get into a serious accident or loss situation."

It was up to the insurance company to cover him after he got the turbo. If they let him then it is o.k. to do.

galant vr4

Im right there with ya y2kfrosty, I have 2 buddies that each have one and they are both very fun cars. Cmon turbo 4wd car for 4-6k.....sweet. One guy drives like a girl, I think the sound of the turbo scares him into thinking hes going to fast . The other guy is a great driver (has a vg30 powered 510 he auto X's alot) his car has a larger turbo off an eclipse and really pulls, weve never raced, but I've driven it once and I think it would hang with a 5th gen auto anyway.... So the moral of the story is they arent all ****.

both cars are 1 outta a couple thousand imported per year for a 2 year period

I had a 99 GSX eclipse auto and after a couple of mods it had a 6.3 0to60 time not bad for an auto 4 banger. And I loved how people would look over when they heard the blow off valve. I loved that car. Too bad some old hag had to cut me off on the highway and I totaled it. R.I.P Eclipse

DSM = Diamond Star Motors

A joint venture between Mitsubishi (diamond) and Chrysler (star) to produce the Eclipse, Talon, and Laser. I belive the Galant VR4 is also considered a DSM. Even though, my car said Mistu on the outside, all the stickers under the hood and on the parts said DSM, so it was its own entity in a way. But in general if someone says DSM they are usually referring to the 1st and 2nd generation Eclipse/Talon/Laser.

I had a 2000 GT fully loaded with upgrades (intake, brakes, exhaust...). I did have a lot of quality problems- blew out my speakers a couple times (crappy premium sound).. bent the track to my sunroof (hated that i hung out over the rear window)... and bent at least 4 rims drivin around nyc (not to mention blowing out a couple tires). But, other than those experiences, the new Eclipse had ***** (even though a lot of you think otherwise). I went up against a 2001 maxima and I left him in my rearview (and we were doing 120 when I decided to see what the car could do and got it up to 145.. but damn the suspension sucks in it)... AND IT WASN'T IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC (it was a 3am on a dark highway.. STUPID of me nonetheless, but everyone makes mistakes lol). My 2¢ is that it all comes down to the driver, not the car (for the most part). I did trade in my Eclipse for a 2001 Maxima because i got sick of going to the shop for stupid things and I needed a car with more room (and didnt wanna wait any longer for a supercharger). Anyways, thats all I got to say, be safe, peace.
