330 CI is a great car. However, little back seat space or cargo room. If these things aren't important to you, get the BMW. Additionally, BMW will be more expensive to work on IF you can't do it yourself and IF it needs maintenance.

I like the BMW, but I'm not convinced it is 10-15K more of a car compared to the max, which is a lot of car for the $$.

Why not check out the G35 sedan. Same great engine as our Maximas plus rear wheel drive.

If you don't mind reliability taking a back seat go with the 330CI.

Wow, you average less than one post per month!

Without knowing what you're looking for in a car, I vote for the BMW out of those two, but I think you should consider the G35. The G35 is what you get if you have the Maxima mate with the 330CI (sorry for that mental picture).

I actually looked into a G35 Coupe the other day... the fact that they won't negotiate much with you really sucks

The 330ci with the sport package is one of my favorite semi attainable cars on the road right now, its basically perfect from the factory unless you are after more power. In which case the m3 will do. I think you get free sceduled maintance until your warranty runs out also.

I saw one parked on the road last night and it was breathtaking. I had this argument with myself when I bought my Max but the extra cash for less power just was not an option. I love my Max, but I think I could have been much cooler in the 330Ci.

As far as the "M3 will do"...that is the biggest understatement I've ever heard. That car is just about the best sports sedan on the road today. However, the $55k price tag is enough to keep me away...for now.

Well heres a question...
Do you drive with your friends all the time?
Becuase the 330CI is the coupe and its kinda a pain in the *** to have a 2 door if you travel all the time...
Buts its all up to you
I would go with teh G35

I'm kinda confused here, are you looking for a sedan or a coupe? Do you want a small/compact car or larger midsized car. As fas as the Nissan vs. BMW is concerned, in my opinion, German cars are incredibly built. My bro has a 330i and maintenance is actually not that expensive. He got rear discs at $40 each. BMW power is seriously underated and minor mods are known to release the beast within. The car is very small though.

My AE Max is going back soon and my next car will most likely be a 4dr G35 6MT loaded. It's the next best thing to my favortite car, the 540i 6sp @ $55k-$60K! If space and extra $$$ is not a concern, go BMW.

i'd agree with the g35....coupe though....my next-door-office-neighbor has a 330 we go to lunch in sometimes, it's a very nice car but geez, the 3-series bmw interior....borrrrrring....at least now they're updating the 5-series with some of the better 7-series components but hey, the 3-series is classic german styling, efficient and functional

fake homer to marge: "how about a night out a moderately priced restaurant followed by some efficient german sex"

I went ahead and bought a 2004 Maxima... I really wanted a G35 Coupe... but it really got on my nerves that they wouldn't budge one bit on the msrp. The BMW would have been nice, but I do too much driving to keep up with the high maintenance on that vehicle. So I bought a 6th gen with everything except for auto tranny.

I test drove the g35 today. the sedan and the coupe both have the more room than the 330ci. it is an equal to the 330 in performance. and you will not be hit with those huge service bills. im thinking of getting one myself.

I would say get a fully loaded G35 coupe. It's cheaper than 330ci and also have tons of features when it's fully loaded. The horse power also makes a difference. More stuff to mod....and cheaper too
