I used a Belkin iPod autokit with a FM modulator to connect it to the stereo. I did a little surgery in the dash to splice in a second 12V adaptor so the Belkin stuff and the FM modulator would be internal and all you see is the connector. The Belkin has a line out, which I connected to the FM modulator's aux in, and then I connected the FM modulator in-line with the antenna. This means the signal comes into the stereo via the antenna, but not as a transmitted signal. It sounds pretty clear. I'm much happier with this setyp than with a cassette adaptor.

Hey Scrimbo,

Is that the universal adapter you got it mounted in? Can you tell me how much and where you purchased it?

Also did you remove the iron connector piece from it? All the ones I've seen has that flexible iron connector attached.

thanks

I used this one:

I found it at Office Depot for $8.99. I does have a metal clip that goes on the back, but it's removable.

This company makes some other alternative mounts, such as a gooseneck mounted on the floor:

I used this guy's install as a loose guide to how to do mine, but I used an FM modulator instead of a CD changer AUX in, and I have it dash-mounted instead of on a gooseneck.
