About breaking your outside "orange" lense on your front corners like Kevin showed in his diagram, here is what I did with the ones that came with my car.
This is what you need:
1 small super sharp scalpel
tube of super glue
Contruction paper
Sandpapper..I used 100grit
Directions: Cut around the orange lense where it meets with the orange or grey backhousing. Keep on cutting it until you punch through. It took me around 45mins for each one to punch through all around to remove the orange lense. It will reveal the clear lense. What you do with this one is cut around the edges with the scalpel until you can pull it out with it. For those with orange housings, what you can do is with the contruction paper, trace out the clear lense with the color you prefer. I used white. This will ensure you that "white/clear" look during the day, but will reverse into "yellow/orange" when the lights are turned on. place the paper inside the housing before you put in the clear lense. For those with grey backhousing, your in luck unless you want to make it a different color. Sand everything! And I mean it, too! Sand the edges of the lense, the backhousing. This will ensure a smooth finish and will be best if you plan to paint the backhousing. Just dab some super glue around the edges of the clear lense. Now you have homemade clear corners. But when you feel like you want the "orange" lenses back on, all you do is just pop them back in. Or visa-versa
Next mission: do the spoiler lights
Kev, if I send you $$$, can you order me a pair of rear clears? My performance shop does NOT carry any for 97+ maxima's.
But the best part about this experience, It was a father son event

no I wanted 5th generation clears. The performance shop, Excessive Autosports in Sioux Falls South Dakato, said that they can't order clears for Maxima's 97+(including the 5th generation). I guess their company doesn't carry them?
