i think you are going to have to be a little more specific in what you want to beat. there are alot of fast mustangs and a lot of slow ones, same goes for the integra. what tranny do you have? i would start off reading the stickies at the top so you know what kind of mods are popular with the maxima and which give you the best bang for the buck.

Ingen CAI i think would be the best on a max ,
Y-pipe would be nice, exaust, and nitrous would be really nice...

I think that as far as CAI you will hear a lot of biased opinions. it'll mostly depend on what people are running themselves. Some say that injen is not worth it while others say it is. I'm one of the ones that say it is. It has a nice deep growl to it at WOT. That's one of the easy mods, after that it's your wallet that decides what you can do. Good luck

if you're looking for the best bang-for-buck mod, get the y-pipe before anything else....intake and cat-back is nice and all, but none gives you more power than the y-pipe mod(other than going supercharged or turbo)....

around $350.

keep in mind tho, a test showed that Maxima equipped with a cold air intake has better low-end and mid-range power than a Maxima with short ram-air intake(like Stillen), but loses top end power edge to short ram-air intake.

I would take the advice given about the Y-Pipe and intake. I am biased towards a Cattman Y-pipe and the Injen intake, just because I have them, of course. Wait on the exhaust. I've heard from so, so many people that you get very minimal gains for what you spend.

You shouldnt lose to a gsr. I raced my friend's gsr twice at the track...he got me on the get-go but i pulled right bak up and went neck to neck most of the way and beat him at the finish line both times. A 0.3 second ahead...he was at my back bumper both times. My is an auto and i didnt manually shift.

I like how on your homepage you claim a 10 HP gain from your Gutter intake...

$8 Gutter intake (Home Depot)
aprox. 10 horse power gain (Butt Dyno)

Regardless of what anyone tells you out there, the best (and only TRUE) CAI for the maxima is the Place Racing Intake. You can get it from www.cattman.com
I recommend getting the Place racing intake, the cattman y-pipe (or budget if they are equal); add that to your Greddy and that should put you in the mid 14s 1/4miles if you're a good driver and you have a 5spd.
Good luck.

I didn't like the Frankencar for three reasons:

1) VERY loud intake whistle. With the Injen, I can barely hear it.

2) It made my engine sound like it was working harder than it actually was. My Injen makes a deeper, more gutteral sound...albeit more conservative.

3) It looked kinda ghetto. Injen looks awesome.

LOL here we go again with the "ghetto". if your in it for performance why so worried bout how it looks under the hood. i can understand your 1st two reason. but ustill didn'tcomment on the top end power loss...

depends on what kind of exhaust your buy. if you're just buying a rear section muffler, the gains are minimal. if you get a full cat-back system, then there's obvious gains in the top end power.

some 02-03 budget owners were having installation/fitment issues with Budget Y-pipe. now i don't know if these problems are limited to 02-03 Maxima owners. You should do some more research before your purchase. Just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it's always better, but sometimes, that extra money can go far when it comes to installation and fit/finish of the product.

Most GS-Rs with typical mods(intake, headers, exhaust and a few other things) run from low 15s to mid-high 14s. Considering the fact that his 00 Maxima's a bone stock auto, yes, he could lose to a GS-R. it doesn't surprise me that much.

so with the cat back and injen, does tha catback just give back the top end the injen loses?

Well, if it matters, I'm 32 years old. I could care less about performance if a part looks like poop. I did not notice any top end power loss w/ the Injen, but then again I didn't dyno my car before and after. It may have lost top end, but another reason I didn't care for the FC is that if you let the car idle for awhile (like at a stoplight) and then got on it, it would REALLY bog down. The Injen doesn't have that problem. I assume that's due to the FC sucking in hot air from the upper level of the engine bay. Regardless, I've owned both and prefer the Injen.

Get the Stillen Pop Charger, and Get the Cattman Y-Pipe. Both of them have been around a long time. For coldair, Place Racing is the only Real Cold Air. Requires drilling a hole in the fender. Injen Looks Nice but not a True Cold Air.

What year is your car. If you are 2000/2001 Fed Spec car, You will need to have a O2 Sensor Bung welded on the Greddy Catback (b section)

Good Luck
