Hi Guys, I though of letting you know, few days ago I was coming back from work, it was late around 11:30Pm, I saw an accord V6 ( not the latest model ) coming fast, but the light was turning red so I knew there was no way he would make it for the green, so I manage to stop at the light, then the guy start to rev his engine, and look at me like if he was superior, then the light turn green, I floor it, that was it bye bye sweaty pie, the guy was trying hard that was an easy killed, and the guy kept trying on for the next 7 or 8 light we raced together, but he couldn't stand my Max.
he he he

I killed one last week. I was slowly accelerating at a green light. The Honda right next to me gunned it, so he had a jump start. I looked over at him and he looked back. Before you know it, I blew by his front bumper and left in the dust. Easy kill. It was an EX-V6.

my bro has a accord v6, a newer one, and from the line i can take him pretty good. but rolling from about 50 or so the accord hangs pretty good, and can overtake me at times. i find the same thing happens when i race my bro in law in his legend. from a line i take him, rolling he gets me. he has an akimoto intake on his legend, the accord is stock.

If its a Honda/Acura you're sitting next too...don't even bother unless its a Type R Integra. If you're both bone stock and he's a good driver...you're going to lose, but its a good race. You should take the GSR no problem and nothing else can even try at the Maxima accept, of course, the NSX which doesn't count. Oops, almost forgot, the S2000...yeah, that's another loss for the Maxima, but might as well give it a go and hope the driver sucks.

I own a '98 Accord EX/V6 Coupe...only comes in the automatic. That car does best at mid-range acceleration. Top speeds suck and low end acceleration sucks because the tranny is not a smooth and accurate shifter. Punch it at about 35mph, though, and it will make some moves. However, from a stoplight, its not a race for the Maxima.

im not an acura/honda fan, however the last generation legend with a 6 speed is a fast car. definitely an even match for the max. auto vs auto or manual vs manual. remember the legend gs with 230 hp and 6 speed manual. give it some props, it deserves it.

Yes, you're right, maxman. The GS Legend with 6 speed tranny pulls sub-7s 0-60 and can easily surprise unsuspecting Maxes.

Yes this was my dream car before I found out about the Maxima. I've always wanted a white GS sedan in a 6speed. 3.2L "type-II" engine pushing out 230hp. They can run 0-60 in the mid-high 6's with a good driver and can push pass 150mph given the right tires. Then I saw the Maxima, and I fell in love with them
