Maxspeed and H&R give basically the same drop 1-1.25" apprx, both have very mild drop but the ride is not effected much at all, after that eibachs and those arnt too bad either but the front is still too high (many slice a coil from the front and its perfect. Those give apprx 1.5"
Progress is 1.6 then sprints at 1.8" then Teins at 2.2 and 1.6 in the rear.
Progress is probably the lowest you can go while not effecting the overall ride too much. Teins are pretty stiff but it doesnt bother me much. I know im probably leaving 1-2 out but if you want to go lower your gonna need coilovers.

I'd rather go for a more slammed look w/ out getting coilovers... So "Progressive" is a good way to go?????

kloogy: As long as your happy with it stick with it. I think the only problem with Teins is gonna be with your low pros on the 19s. Less air to absorb the impact of the road is one thing, but combined with a stiffer spring...well I dont know how much your gonna like the ride. The roads in SD wernt too bad so it shouldnt be much of an issue IMO, your call man.
Id hate to come down there on the I10, at one point I think ill start having a seizure the highway is so jacked up. Its anoying with a normal car with mine

Appreciate the replies. After all is said and done, it looks like I'm moving toward Progress. Still need to look a little more at Eibach's Pro Kit too. The monster drop of the TIENs would be sweet, but all the driving I do coupled with the S03's will not lend itself to the ride I need. Now I'd say its between these two so anyone who wants to chime in who hasn't, go for it

I prefer the Tein/KYB-GR2 look myself...

It looks like a stock BMW wheelgap now, which is exactly what I was shooting for. The ride is very solid, and I would rate it at 85-90% the same as stock overall. The only noticable differences come when you hit a relatively large hole or other obstruction while at speed. It's a pretty decent jolt, but the suspension doesn't have the floaty feel anymore. It returns to the "ready" position 1000 times faster now, which is also what I was looking for (as compared to the sh1tty stock GLE ride)...

There is a group deal being held by Phoneix CLICK HERE

Email him at phoneix42@hotmail.com ots $150 shipped, btw please get some struts to go along with them, the OEM ones dont have enough dampening force to properly control them and you will bounce all over the place w/o them.

I FEAR your pic! How steep is your driveway??? Plz tell me it's REALLY steep.

I have the Stillen Aero installed as well as Teins, no problems. Just use common sense and you'll be fine. Driveways, speedbumps, ect... are no problem what so ever. I had 5 people in my car (one was 400+lbs, one was almost 300, im 240 plus 2 more) well over 1000extra lbs and still speedbumps were no problem, nor driveways. It was clearing them my just a few mm but still it didne scrap. All you have to worry about it parking blocks, dont pull up all the way. I dont regret getting Teins in anyway, they look sweet.

It does have a little slope to it and the curb is continuous, so it runs in front of all the driveways. If i was home i would measure it for you. Click on my homepage, i have a before and after pic. It will give you a better idea. There is also one in the middle that shows me parked next to the curb. If my driveway was flat up to the curb, you could probably add another 1 1/2" to the sig pic.

I am also looking into springs.

Yeah, 4th gen H&R def bring it a little lower, I think its because the 4th Gen maxes weighed less so the spring rates are different

Cool. How's the ride? Any problem with bottoming out? It looks very nice. I might delibrately buy 4th gen ones.

Southwest Autoworks has good price on Sprin springs. Anybody has a set? If so how are they?

Pics of my Tein drop

The great thing about the Teins is the handling is like 1000% better and the drop is just about dead even. The only thing I don't like is the bounciness of the ride. Every road imperfection is amplified to the driver. It's not that rough over bumps (compaired to the stock SE suspension), just really bouncy.

I've put about 3,700 miles on my 2k3 at it's one year anniversary this month. Needless to say I haven't gotten used to it with the infrequency in which I drive it. I would do it all over again though.

Yep...Atlanta has some bad roads, and it seems like there are plenty of roads under construction that I am always going over/through. I've had zero problems. If you know how to drive, you'll be fine. It's the people that bottom out in stock cars that I worry about...

I'm a little by what you said here. When you say bouncy do you mean the ride is just harsher, not floaty bouncy right?

The drop means nothing to me, other than I don't want to go that low. I'm looking for a comfortable ride that handles much better than SE stock. What do you guys think about GR-2's with MS or Progress?
