my stock CD player clicking (2000SE)

Its the non Bose one.
Why does it seem that I when I play somewhat music somewhat loud that I can hear clicking? If the music is loud, I can hear it more. Sometimes the music is loud enough where I can barely hear it (but I know its there). Sometimes I can hear it clearly. Doesn't seem to matter if I am plying store bought or home grown CDs. Is it that the stock radio basically sucks?

Thanks,

JimL

I got this sometimes in my bose HU in my 2k... I had a really scratched up cd in there and thought that was it, but then it would do it on some other good cd's...> So I put a cd cleaner in there, and it actually solved my problem. I got a cd cleaner from Interact. but any should do

Get a laser lens cleaner and it should clear it right up.

Actually to be honest with you it looks like the CD player is really scratching up my CDs as well. I have two CDs that I play in the car exclusively, and they are all scratched up. One is hard to get so I made a copy, just in case, cause they are starting to skip.

I'll get a cleaner.

Thanks
