Greddy EVO Catback

My 2K2 came with a Greddy Catback. I like the performance but hate the coffee can look (I'm old). The exhaust is practically brand new. I would consider just changing the muffler but then it would have to be cut and welded and I would not want that.

Should I buy a new Catback and sell this one, do they make an axle back that is a direct bolt. Anyone in NY want to trade ?

Any advice would be great.

If your considering about just changing just the rear muffler section of your cat-back exhaust system. How about buying an aftermarket muffler and have an exhaust shop fabricate you a new rear-section so that it will match the piping diameter of the greddy and bolt up from the axle back instead of just cutting and welding.

noooooooooo Just buy a stillen kit. The aero kit is nice, clean, and subtle. It will also cover up most of the nasty greddy evo "can" that hangs down.

Darth Vader, Go to their website. They have many styles of universal mufflers. You should be able to find one suitable for your car.

I got the GReddy EVO from an org member and was so exicited i put it on that night!!!
Took my old muf off and put just the evo muf on works fine fits the stock b pipe.
B pipe looks like a pain to change myself (with the ramps i used to get the muffler on)
don't have a lift at my house

These are your choices for different mufflers first if you don't like the Greddy sell the whole catback. then for choices you got Cattman catback. www.cattman.com Stillen rear section (you would have to buy the b-pipe to. www.stillen.com Frankencar just came out with one. www.frankencar.com and HKS also can get from www.stillen.com and also needs the b-pipe. Those exhaust I have discribed are not coffee can looking.

This is definitely the way to go. I don't think you even need the whole kit, just the rear valance.

Also check the 5th gen parts for sale section.

Wouldnt it look pretty to just have a rear valance? I have a 2000 w/a EVO and I think that would look retarded. The only way I can see this looking halfway decent is if the car is dropped. With most of the springs out today, they leave the car kinda raked downward in the front,so a lip in the back would pretty much even it out.

Just my $.02

You're right, it wouldn't look like right on a 2000 but a 2k2 or 2k3 comes with side rockers so it would look fine.
