SSR Engineering can you post something in the 4th gen forum! I know alot of us forth gens have been waiting for a company to produce a quality kit. We need things like the "black box" you are offering to control fuel and timing, and things like an equal lenght exhaust manifold. These would be very benifical because they are not offered in other kits. We have the same 3.0 liter motor as the 5th gens and a company like you to step up would be very benificial to the whole maxima community. I think you would get much more business if you offered a kit for the 4th gens also.

Could you provide more info on the new injectors and "Black Box" please? I couldn't find any reasonably priced injectors, so any info would be appreciated.

The injectors we are using on the spec v are bosch 440s great injectors usually around 120 apiece MSRP or so. We would probably use something like 550s on the 4th Gen and 5th Gen maxima because stock is 370cc i believe. The black box is made by split second.

Stock injectors are not 370, they are around 240cc injectors. Also have you test fitted those injectors on the 5th gen? We are having a tough time trying to find anything that fits and clears the rail as well.

Its 240cc. The 370s should be good for well over 400whp, some of the s/c guys are putting down over 300whp with the stock 240s! The 550s should be more then enough to ge well over 500whp so thats one hell of a choice to run
Good Luck with the prototype, I cant wait to see the results.

Would the 2.5 inch Greddy exhaust be fine for this Turbo kit. Alot of people say for better flow get a 3 inch but what a half a inch.

Im not disagree-ing with the numbers that s/c and turbo people (like me)are putting down on stock injectors. I wanted to know have they test fitted larger injectors on a 5th gen? Currently this is a dillema for us 5th genners cause there is no injector that is plug-and-play like the 370cc injectors from the Z on that go on the 4th gens.

I don't know if the Spec V injectors are top or side feed, but 4th gen uses side and 5th gen uses top. RC Engineering could not find an injector that will fit our car. The closest one (370cc) was 1/2" too long, which would have caused some issues around the intake manifold area (I do not remember which area was the problem).

I asked if there was anything close to 370cc (same size as our injector), but they didn't have any.

Is this the Split Second box you're talking about? http://www.splitsec.com/products/r4softw.htm

Ask the SoCal guys.

1995-1999 injectors are 239cc
2000-2001 injectors are 259cc
