I am about to get this setup, and I want some last minute advice. HOw many miles can I expect with semi-aggressive driving? Are there any problems that I should know about? Any other info would be helpful

Got this setup on my 2003 Max SE/TE, after my OEM rotors became warped.
I'm extremely happy with this setup, and the braking performance is much improved. Excellent mod.
My Max is lowered with Teins, and with the slotted rotors and the Hawk HPS, my Max draws looks at the stoplights

I got my setup through the Tire Rack.

if you're looking for a second choice, porterfield R4-S racing pads. i pressed on the brakes from 120 to 40 and those brakes gripped like no other. i can't compare to other pads, but they didn't give way like my oems. my oems would start to shake at 60.

retail on the porterfields are 159 front and 110 rear. maxima.org discount gives it to us 136 shipped for all 4 sets of pads.

I just called Powerslot and they said that their website is wrong. The correct part number for the 2k2+maxima is 705PSL &705PSR. Those are the part numbers for the front. They said that the rears are the same as the 2k-2k1.

Clean01maxse:

What kindof mileage are you getting out of the Powerslot HPS combo. Thanks

Bulldawg, from past experience with PowerSlot rotors and Hawk HPS brake pads on my 300ZX (Z32), I got 30k out of them (the pads), and is was most definatley " very aggressive" driving in the Z, the rotors will last a loooong time, so no worries there.

I only have 2,300 miles on my 2003 Maxima, so its to early to say, but without a doubt, this setup will last me and perform!
I trust Hawk HPS pads, so I stick with what works well from experience IMHO. Oh yeah, they leave very minimal brake dust when compared to OEM.

I went ahead and bought the powerslots and Hawk HPS pads from ptuning.com. I paid 239 for everything in the front(rotors and pads). I some how got a 5 % discount and I don't know how. I will be installing them on sunday and I will let you know how they perform.
