that is a racing pipe...car will be loud with that on

 

"racing" meaning it is illegal probably? As far as emmissions I mean?

Impossible to tell from the pics.

If it is a racing pipe it is illegal. We need a pic from the end to see what is inside.

If this pipe has the honeycomb structure inside that contains the "guts" of a cat, then it may be OK

Also it is illegal to replace the cat on a car if the old one is working OK. (This depends on your state, some say 50K miles or 5 years before you can legally replace it)

Bottom line: It looks fishy to me
