I'm trying to decide how to start with my mod's . Got kids (really cute, but expensive) and consequently on a budget. How should I spend my first $1500. Should I show the "go"(performance) or go for the "show" (concours). So what was your first time ...umm modifying that is...umm your car that is. I'm interested in the streetmaster integrated suspension (Any one familiar with ) or the ninja body kit.

I say if you want to "feel" your mods, go for suspension first. You can definitely feel all the suspension mods. Go with the FSTB and RSB combo first. If you don't mind a bumpy ride springs and struts are next.

You will have about $700 left with those mods listed. Next you can do the PR CAI and Y pipe... which should leave you about $150 left.

Take the family out with the $150 you have left over.

If I had to do it again, I would do suspension first. Probably FSTB, RSB, and coilovers. Hehehe... the last mod is a hint to anyone that's interested in knowing what my mod list includes.

Rev.Y2KevSE of First Maxima church of Nissan

I want the slammed look w/o sacrificing my ride quality.
(Can I get a "Amen" from my brotha's and sista's in the Maxima.org congregation.) Do you know or heard enough about the Street Master to praise or haze the product. Or is not not possible, currently lower your car w/o putting on the sacrificial altar? more questions to come

Slammed look without sacrificing ride quality? Not possible if you want to lower your car. Get coilovers and lower the height. Ride quality will definitely have to go down...

Never heard of Street Master.

I saw it in your link to SCC website and figured that the good Reverend went over. I since tried the contacting the peeps at StreetMaster because the product looks very promising. Take look (I hope works for you)http://www.streetmastersuspension.com They haven't returned my call.

I drove an IS300 at the Edmunds event last summer and was raving about the handling on this board. Somebody posted that you can get comparable handling with just a set of Tokicos and Eibachs. Is that correct? It seems like very little money to be able to grip the road like glue. Do these type of suspension mods wear out quicker than stock setup?
Thanks--Gregg

Hehehe... I haven't updated or been to those links in quite some time. I've never sat in a car with that setup, so I can't comment on what they say on their site.

I've driven an IS and love the handling. I took turns as hard as I do in my Max. I'd say it's about the same as the FTSB, RSB, Eibachs, and Tokicos combined. If you get coilovers, you'll definitely handle better than the IS. Wearing out depends on how your drive and what surface you drive on.

No package, but both mods will land you in the $500-$600 range.

Rev. Y2kevse,
Any guestimates on wear for normal conditions and driving, concerning the Eibachs & Tokicos?

My guestimate would be 30K for the Tokicos... not sure on the Eibachs.

Thanks, Kev. Does anybody who has this setup have an idea of the life of the Eibachs?

With eibachs they'll wear out quicker.. I believe I've heard ~20k. Ride quality will gradually decline.

how much are the stock tokico's? my ride quality sucks right now and it does seem to keep getting worse...tokico blues are 300+shipping+install which should all total around $450-500...so how much are the stocks (or does my warranty cover new shocks)?

Getting your shocks replaced under warranty will be tuff with eibachs on your car... if they notice. Considering the body kit... they'll most likely be very mod conscious. Stock shocks are underpowered to handle your eibachs so replacing them is throwing money away. I would get the blues... or konis (which need some sorta modification during installation).
