After much debate, I bought a Skyline

Yup,

Now that I am back in England, and had to leave the Max at home I have had the need to buy a new car.

After a lot of personal debate I have just bought this '99 Nissan Skyline R34 Z14 Turbo:

I will be heading up to Coventry to pick it up later next week. I am really happy, although, I wanted an R33.

I had a deate because I figured a Skyline would be the dogs bollox, but, I also was thinking about a Benz SLK230, Audi TT, or a BMW 328Ci. I really love the TT, but, I couldn't pass on a Skyline, it cost more (17000GBP = $27000), but, I may never get another chance, so, I am happy , more pics to come, and, no mods planned yet.

Nice - how much power does it have and are skylines similar in rarity to how they are in the US? I'm thinking no, given your ease of buying it...?

Skylines, while not everywhere, are quite easily had over here. I have only seen one in London though, a black R33 with a big *** exhaust, sounded sweet. I see tons of Ferrari's, Lambo's, Bentley's etc here.

As for this one, it is powered by the RB25DET (R33 motor, Inline 6, DOHC 24v Garrett intercooled-turbo) Produces about 280HP 250Ft/Lbs torque, but, I am told it is safe to tune it to around 350-400 on stock internals.

WOW!

It's a shame, we live in the richest country in the world, but yet we can't buy a car like that.

That's a Skyline, but it isn't a GT-R is it? Either way, nice ride!

I saw tons of R33's up for grabs in the UK! But out of curiousity, why would you want an R33? It's just a brick compared to the R34.

Nope thats not a GTR - you can tell by the front facia - ive always liked skylines but anything non GTR are like high 14 second cars comparable to the max ive heard

only skylines that ever came with RB26DETT are the GTRs. all others are either N/A or single turbo. nice nonetheless, all the rest, but the GTR is the top. and the rarest.

that yellow one picture-linked here is the R34 GT turbo with RB25DET. not GTR, but bad-***. and super nice.

i'll take one, please.
