Mods for Gas

I have a 2000 SE auto. I wanna know if there are any mods out there to help with better gas mileage?? How does our gas mileage compare to the v6 camry's and accords??
Thanks

Put a leggo's underneith your gas pedal so you cant push it down all the way. That will help with the temptation to go WOT.

An UDP will help a little, but voids warranty.

What is a Udp? Is that the only mod that will help? Is it true that an intake will increase mileage??

Yes, intakes "generally" give your car more gas mileage.. But as any of always floor it to hear the awesome sound, we don't get better gas mileage... "maybe someday, hmm"

I had my timing advanced and didn't notice much difference ( maybe 1/4 - 1/2 mpg). I'm going to install a frankencar intake soon and I'll be checking my mileage with that mod. Also, i just had an induction service, which cleaned the injectors and the throttle body. I'm noticing about 1 - 1 1/2 mpg increase.

Your single biggest 'mod' would be to modify your driving habits. No hard acclerations starts, no staying on the gas coming up to lights and signs then laying on the brake, etc.

I just have to ask...if the issue is in comparison to Accords and Camrys, why did you get a Max? For the 2000's I really don't think there are glaring differences between all three.

I dunno if it works, but other than remember to do your regular Car Maintence, and changing your driving habbit. Here's a couple tools that "MIGHT" be helpful.

http://www.fuelmiser.com/

and Tornado Fuel Saver~

P.S. I personally never tried any of these product, so I don't know what the result will be.

any bolt ons *should* increase mileage. When I put headers/cat-back/intake on my old car, my mileage went up significantly. However, paying $1000 for all the stuff doesnt quite equal the 3 mpg savings... $1000 is a lot of gas!!!

there is a surefire way to get better gas mileage. Dont rev over 3000, and dont exceed 70 mph on the highway. Also, avoid large throttle openings. I did this on my trip from miami to jacksonville (there was ****ty traffic the whole way). Needless to say, i managed to get 420 miles to that tank. This is unusual for me, as I regularly dip into the 13's (mpg) here in miami city traffic.

Or, for the best mileage, either walk or get it towed.
