what are some cheap easy mods that look cool? Like changing all the leds in the interior (probably wasnt too easy, but is relatively cheap...) I dunno, im a college student and cant spend a lot. I just want my car to be different. want to get a frankencar too... I did see some 01 indiglo gauge faces for 60 bucks on ebay, anyone had any experience with those? ease of install, looks? thanks a lot!

Try clear corners, tint, change all yellowish bulbs to Piaas or something similar like LEDS's . Maybe a dash kit.

Is there a post on the process on replacement of the yellowish bulbs and/or the fog lamp bulbs?

Want to be different? Make your fogs even MORE yellow, similar to the Lexus IS300 HID/yellow fog combo. Search the site for the website that sells some yellow film that can be applied like tint for the desired effect.

You could also:
Make a Home Depot mesh grille
Paint your calipers
FSTB is dirt cheap too...

Yup. But a better way would be to get some hyper white bulbs, so that it would look tighter (my clear corners and bulbs get here on Friday).

Maybe I'll get hyperwhite bulbs later, i want to check out the situation with the 5-0 and these lights in milwaukee... do they care at all? anyone know? and with the stock bulbs it will still look orange and red at night soo...

also, what are some common prices for tints? For everything but the windshield in either a 35% or 20% and also if anyone has info about the milwaukee law and tints (I just go to school here, I live in chicago)

If you want to be legal, get amber bulbs in front and red in rear. I have LEDS in my corners in the respective colors. If you use hyperwhite bulbs , its illegal in all states and you will get pulled over.

I would imagine Milwaukee's prices to be cheaper than the prices in San Francisco, but here I got 7 windows done for $180. That is pretty good, and probably as close to the best deal that I could have gotten here.

Check this site for window tint laws in your state: http://www.pcisys.net/~bpc/auto_law/tint/

I had all my windows done for 175 , but we did 2 2k2 Maxes tinted on the way home from the dealer. That was with a life time warranty. I have since added a 5% tint to the sunroof and a sun strip on the front windshield .

I have 20% all around except for the fronts , which are 35

Jackboot, I was like you. I started with a 2k Auto GXE.
Cheap Mods to consider:
FSTB $20
RSB $120
Intake $7 (who remembers the OSCAI?) to $215
Clear Corners and bulbs $60
PIAA Bulbs $60
Tint $150 to $250
ArmorAll the wheels $6
SE tail lights $200 new
Maxspeeds Springs $100 (cheap and install is easy)
Shave badges FREE
Aftermarket wheels and tires 17" or bigger $500 used to $2000
Wax $20
Fog lights $200 new
Maxima.org License plate frame

Things to avoid IMO:
Painting grill
Silver door trim
Spoiler (looks smoother without it - cwally)
Pen stripping
Any decals whatsoever

Its a 2k1. They had the ugly taillights. All red. The part that is amber on the 2k2 and 2k3 is clear on the 2k and 2k1. He either needs 2k 2k1 SE taillights or 2k2 or 2k3 altezza taillights. Anything is better than the all red.

Noticed someone said a pen stripe - (pin stripe?) anyways, I completely forgot about this as an option to change the looks. I had it on my old car, but it was stock. Any of you guys do one on a Maxima?? If so, you do it yourself or have it done? What would we use to make a pen stripe?? Hmm.... might look cool. maybe

Painting Dash (plastic parts)
Converting headlights to AE style (how-to maybe in FAQ)
If you don't like all red tails (190HPKilla), maybe you can tint the tails (Phatman5050)

btw, you won't be able to use your bulbs from the red and yellow corners, they're just regular uncolored bulbs. you'll need a pair of red and a pair of yellow to get the stock light colors.
