I am debating metallic-based tint vs. the Huper Optik Ceramic stuff. I've never compared the two, so can anybody tell me if the ceramic stuff is really all that better? I know it blocks more heat, but does it look obviously better as well?

i've heard that metallic tint messes up your radar and nav and ceramic doesnt... but now i've heard the Llumar (metallic) works fine with radar and nav...

 

I have Formula 1 metallic tint. No apparent side affects. Might be a slight loss of radio reception in marginal areas. No radar detector so I can't speak to that.

I have Lumar tint and have had no problems using my Cobra Radar. I have had several other type tints on earlier Maximas, and by far for keeping the heat out and looking best, go with Lumar.

 

SolarGard replaced Llumar in some high end shops... Check that out as well...
