Why do people INSIST on being TACKY!?!?

And then being proud of it as well? I was driving to work this morning and as I came off the Brooklyn Bridge trying to get onto the FDR (if you're from NYC you'll know exactly what I mean about people getting "cut off" here all the time) this 3rd gen black max tries to cut me off. I let him get in front of me because I'm not going to risk getting my car hit by an idiot driver who doesn't know how to properly be agressive, as well as getting it hit over stupidity. Well he gets in front of me and I notice that he had taken the nameplates from a 2000/2001 SE and put them on the top lip of the trunk of his car. Both the word "Maxima" and the "SE" plates. It looked hideous especially because of how high the trunk is due to the reflectors all across the back of the trunk. When I sped past him down on the FDR (because of course now he's driving slow holding up the lane), even though we were moving fast, I was able to notice that he put the 16 inch GLE/SE (without the C+C) rims on the car. Now there are reasons that certain looks and options are put on certain cars....STYLING!?!? Why do people with older cars always try to "up" the little things on their car with the newer options? It just ends up looking tacky and therefore wasted money. Sorry, just had to vent

I completely agree....
I wasn't knocking the fact that he was in a 3rd gen, therefore playing the "holier than thou" game because I have the new one. Some people don't have the money or have other things they need to put their money to, or some people aren't as into cars as I am. They're still nice...it would be one of the cars on my list if I had to buy a used car, no doubt. I appreciate you not thinking that I was attacking 3rd gens on a whole (especially since it hit home) but realizing I was attacking THAT guy's 3rd gen

Are you sure it was the gle 16? The gxe has 15 hubs. The gxe with c/c has 16's...but they look like hubs(disc in the center with many spokes). The se 16 is the 5 spoke and the 17 is the 6 spoke.
Here is a black se with the se 16's....not the gxe 16's.

Thanks but the pony is embossed not raised. I'm pretty sure other Nissan caps will fit but just to damn lazy to actually do it.
Hows the stang?
