Need suggestions for caliper colors...

I'm putting on some new rotors on my 2K2 this weekend, and I think while I'm doing that I'm gonna paint my calipers as well. My car is Majestic Blue. I was thinking about red, but I don't know yet...I don't think I want blue, because I want it to stand out from the color of the car. Also, I don't want to draw TOO much attention, so red may be TOO big of a contrast. What do you guys think?

I painted mine with the G2 paint kit from www.wheelskin.com
The paint is very high quality, and it looks great. I have a Merlot maxima and I painted the calipers silver. The color is just slightly darker than the stock SE wheels. It really ties the wheels, headlights, and clear corners together well. Plus, it is a natural color that doesn't look out of place, it just completes the look of the wheel. Check out my website for lots of close up pics. Good luck!

I may go with silver. My friend that's going to show me how do change my rotors has some high temp silver paint. That would probably look pretty good.

Not red.... Painted red calipers are pretty ricey (and yes, I used to have them).

Silver sounds good. I think that's what I'm going to go with.

I was thinking about painting my calipers with chrome spray paint. Would it look cheap? I can't decide between that and silver.

I think you need more than a spray paint. I don't think spray paint will hold too well. I also say go yellow or a blue like mine.

Please oh please do not go chrome color for the calipers. Silver would look alright. As for the paint. As I said earlier I used a whitish silver so it wasn't a reflective color but looked good. I used high temp primer from a spray can, sprayed a lot into a paper cup, and got a model paint brush and painted it on there. Worked pretty well.

Red doesn't always look ricey IMO. It depends on what the rest of your car looks like as well.

I painted mine black about a month ago. It's looks good, conservative. After seeing the silver, I think I want to change however.

Remember the cad plating on the power slots is silver & the rims are silver. So silver calipers would tie right in.

i like a nice clean look, so i would go with either silver or black. Or, just go bling bling and get some nice 4 piston caliper wilwoods with some 13" 2 piece rotors!

I think I'd go with black. Not too flashy but still looks better than no paint at all.
