Question for Injen owners

I live in buffalo and I am paranoid of hydrolocking my max. So here is my question. Has anyone here chopped a few inches off the downpipe of their Injen to raise the filter, or make room for a air bypass valve? Even if you have not done this please post with your ideas on the subject!

I got a heat shield for mine. It covers the filter nicely, although I haven't driven through any major rain storms yet. I haven't heard of anyone having problems here.

You really don't need to worry about it unless your going to drive into deep water...

Good luck

We had major flooding here in Las Vegas a few weeks back. I had no choice but to drive trough the crap. Although I was not too excited about having to drive trough it I never had any problems afterwards.

Hit the reply button in the person's thread box(lower right corner), instead of using quick reply

Ok here is the problem, when I cleaned my filter I put on a autozone special ri(e ri(e baby, but who cares its under the hood and lets out a bit more growl (SP?) I recently felt a drop in performance so in cleaning the engine bay and such I notice RUST yes RUST on the filter and that is my cause for concern. Thanks for your opinions I need tech. ans.
