Wattage of fogs

I noticed on the PIAA website that the extreme white bulbs for the fogs come in a 35w and in a 55w? I did a search, and found some threads about the 55w being the factory wattage, but I just want to confirm that 55w fog is okay in a 2001?

Will the 55w PIAA cause any discoloration, melting, cracking of the fog lense?

Nope, you are correct.. You can use the 55w or the 35w, whatever youd like.. But the OEM wattage is 55

Yeah, use the 55W. I have had them in my car for more than 6 months.

I'll go with the 55w bulbs. Thanks.

Erm, I'm pretty sure in the shop manual it specified stock OEM fog lamps are 35W... using 55W should be fine
