Sub box question

How do you guys with systems keep your box from moving around the trunk? I straighten them out constantly, maybe I take turns a little too quick but even after a 5 minute drive the carpet is all shifted and the subs are rubbing against the back of the trunk.
I need to find a good way to secure them so they stop slamming around back there. Would I be able to use the hooks for the cargo net to secure the box or will it be too heavy?

I think there have been a few postings regarding this issue, but one good way is to secure some velcro strips on the underside of your enclosure or some "L" brackets possibly.

Use velcro if the box is not too heavy. You said "boxes" though, do you have 2 separate boxes for 2 separate subs? If so, that isn't very good.. anyway, you can also use L-brackets, but you cannot move the box around unless you unscrew it out of place.

I have one box with 2 subs, Its pretty heavy, I'd say close to 100lbs. I was thinking about using L brackets but what should I screw them into? The board over the spare or what?

Prodigy, screwing it into the board would work fine. Good luck.

Firing towards back of car = better than firing upwards. But, you do have way more trunk space left, and it looks nice...

Well, I got it from my buddy, who sold his Max.... Cwally. He paid about 1k just for the labor of the box and amp rack.. Check out this page so you can see all the dynamat they used and the install.....http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...200767&page=13

Now as far as the price of the equipment...well:
2 - 12 inch Eclipse Aluminums
1 - 800 Watt 4 channel Fosgate
1 - 800 Watt 2 channel Fosagte
1 - Chrome Stinger 1 Farad Cap

Lots of Dynomat, and I still get rattle

Well I solved the problem by building a square box with 1X4's. Then stretching carpet over the whole thing. It's as wide as my box and keeps it snugg up in the trunk. I can easily lift it out and the box can slide out.

These are 12" Kove Armageddons. They weigh a lot with the box and I was still having a problem with it sliding around. After one time taking a corner too sharp in my old max and almost ripping my RCA jacks off I decided to secure it this way.

Come on Kloogy don't rub it in that I can't affort a custom set up like you. I have more than what it looks that I have in the picture. It's about 16" from the sub box to the car. Just enough for old women and children that I pic up on the block. j/k

Oh yea check this out. Mine also takes up no space and doesn't move around and it's not bolted down. The cargo net holds it in.
Made it myself. I am a MECP installer. Got new setup going to start, got another 10" so might sell the box.

I bought two "t" brackets and drilled them into the lip on the back of the trunk. Then I drilled a 2x4 into the bottom of my box to compensate for the angle of the trunk floor.
