Interior trim

I am debating on painting some select interior trim pieces body color. It looks good in Porsches, BMWs, and Acuras. I think it blends the interior to the exterior color. What I'm thinking is painting the window switch bezels, shifter panel, and MAYBE the clock housing. My car is Sheer Silver so I think it may look decent. I plan on buying or aquiring extra trim pieces from either the dealer or a local scrap yard to paint. That way if I don't like it, I still have my original pieces. Has anyone done this? And if so, how did it turn out? BTW, I don't want the stick on stuff.
