Spoiler Brake Lights out-HELP

Hey guys , i need the forum's help. I drive a 2000 GLE . My OEM spoiler's brake light is out. My question is, factory to fix it is probably expensive (anyone know total cost to replace lights?) so i want to do it myself. So where would i find a good deal on the lights? Another question is that i am thinking that i need to put some type of sealant or something after i put the new lights inside the spoiler so water and stuff doesn't get in the wiring. Where would i get the sealant and do i need it for this repair?. Also, i was wondering is this one piece of lights or is it seperate bulbs i can replace. Any one have experience please help me out. Sorry if its a newb question for you hardcore do it yourself folks, but we all gotta start sometime. Thanks

hiya,

well u can go to the dealer and buy the original red light, its really easy to take out, just unscrew and unplug the wiring and just stick the new one in there, no need for sealant.

now if you want to do something custom get a clear brake light, sorry i forgot where i bought mine, and u can use that. but it requires more work (wire tapping and you will need glue or something to hold it since you cant screw that one on)

i replaced the stock for the clear/look good and took about 40 mins

hope this helps
