2002 stillen headers are on.........

am i the only one with these?

ok guys heres the deal..... got the headers on wed. took em to a performance shop fri and they put em on. the install only took 4hours (MAX) no more (closer to 3).... i had a few shops quote me 8-10 hrs for the install. the easiest way to put these on is dropping the engine craddle with the front and rear mounts.... while having the engine hoisted up some with a stand..... by removing this the install was MUCH easier....

cons: the exhaust is LOUD.... when i say LOUD i mean LOUD... i have a RT high flow to a 2.5" b-pipe to the HKS rear section.... NO resonator. at the rpms range of 1k-3k it is unbarrable.....if u dont want alot of NOISE dont get the headers. thats the only dislike..... except the price....

pros: the power increase is DEFINATE! pulls like a deamon up top.... the sound of the exhaust at WOT is insane i love it. i still havent felt the full potential of the headers bc my car is still lossing power around 5k rpms.....

i got a resonator put on today and this made a BIG difference in the sound.... still LOUD but not as LOUD im considering a few different exhaust setups to get this thing a lil bit quieter....

i have pics of the install but i dont have a good host. any ?'s............

will

FYI- dont ask me to dyno it..... I WILL when i fix the power loss problem

Your stock muffler would probably keep it pretty quiet. Maybe just change the tips?

So basically the install was under $400, which is good, right ?

No ses light ?

Are you doing a dyno anytime soon ? If so, please post the dyno results...

Lastly, can you tape while in the car, at idle and then at wot ?

**excited**

great to hear someone got the headers on!!!! now I want them more, but that LOUD thing kinda scares me. definatly would like to hear a recording of it. Also, a dyno would be cool, but if you feel a gain from the butt dyno, i'm sure the headers do their job. Congrats on gettin them on!!!

I wonder what would happen if you combined the headers with the ECU upgrade.

That wouldn't stop me. And if adding headers really does lean out the majority of the cars then Technosqaure needs to be aware of it. Each new bolt on or combo needs to have it's own program

This is sweet, the ECU w/headers is going to give atleast a 50hp bump (flywheel ofcourse) back to back 13's would be a sinch for you 6spd guys. As for the autos, well low 14s would now be acheived but SR is 100% correct when he said tire companies would love you.

BTW, are you willing to share the exhaust setup you and SR20DEN discussed?

Headers+CAI+Exhaust+ECU might get you around 290 - 300 hp. This sounds quite sweet.

Maybe at the flywheel, but not at the wheels. 350Zs with Crawford intake plenum, Technosquare ECU, intake, and headers are only putting ~270rwhp. As we already know, the 350Z is putting down 240rwhp stock or about 30whp more the Maxima. Stillen only claims 15hp with the header kit for the 2k2+, at least according to the catalog they sent me.
